Housing allowance possible through rent discount
Housing allowance is possible for all apartments, depending on your age. For young people under the age of 23 we give a rental discount on the regular apartments, in order to be eligible. Are you 23 years or older? Then the discount expires, because you can also receive housing allowance without that discount.
Larger apartments
There are a few larger apartments (for which no rental discount applies, regardless of age) and therefore no housing allowance is possible for tenants under the age of 23. These larger and therefore slightly more expensive apartments are ideal for older students, who can receive housing allowance for the larger homes. The basic rent for these properties vary between € 515 and € 615, the service costs are equal to the regular apartment with a low sleeper. You can view some pictures of these larger apartments here .
Service costs and applying for housing allowance
The following is all included in the advance for service costs; super fast internet, furniture and soft furnishing, utility costs and heating of your own apartment and the common areas, security and cleaning of the common areas. Only a small part of the advance that you pay for the service costs is included in the “calculation rent”. The tax authorities (Belastingdienst) base the rent allowance on this calculated rent. Campus contract
- You can remain living in the apartment for one year following your graduation
- You have a minimum notice period of one full calendar month
- Rental discount under 23 years*
*If you are a student younger than 23 years, we offer a discount on the basic rent. We do this because you can then qualify for a housing allowance.
